One of the first Stampin' Up! colors that I absolutely fell in love with was So Saffron and so I am soooooo happy that the Parisian Summer Designer Series Paper (DSP) features this beautiful, sunny color. Other colors recommended for the Parisian Summer DSP are Bravo Burgundy, Pink Pirouette and Sahara Sand. Parisian Summer DSP is part of the Sweet Bella Style Watch and therefore coordinates beautifully with all the products sown on pages 12&13 of the 2008 Fall/Winter Idea Book and Catalog (contact me to find out how you can receive your very own copy for FREE).

This first card begins with a So Saffron card base and is then layered with Bravo Burgundy and two of the Parisian Summer prints (a polka dot and a floral). The floral print on the bottom is punched with the new Scallop Edge Punch. The sentiment from the set, Best Yet (a level 1 hostess set that you can earn for FREE - contact me to find out how -- View this photo ) is stamped in Bravo Burgundy ink on So Saffron Cardstock and layered on Bravo Burgundy cardstock. A length of So Saffron 1/4" Grosgrain ribbon is tied across the card before adhering the sentiment mat. The large and small flower image from Flower Fancy (a 2- Step Stampin' set -- View this photo ) are stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock (the large in Pink Pirouette and the small in So Saffron) and then the 2nd outline stamp is stamped over them in Bravo Burgundy (I also used a Stamp-a-ma-jig positioner for this). The flowers are cut out and the smaller one is layered on the large Pink Pirouette flower with a dimensional. The flower is then adhered to the card using SNAIL adhesive and a short length of ribbon is tied on to make a bow!
From playful to elegant, that's one of the things I love about Stampin' Up! papers and stamp sets! This second card begins with a base of Sahara Sand cardstock, layered with Bravo Burgundy and then two prints from the Parisian Summer DSP collection (a Victorian floral and a stripe). A length of 5/8" Grosgrain ribbon in Bravo Burgundy is tied across to hide where the edges of the papers meet. The sentiment, from Elegant Cheer (View this photo ), was stamped with Black Stazon ink on Whisper White cardstock and then layered on Bravo Burgundy and Pink Pirouette. All four corners on each layer were punched using the Ticket Corner Punch.
The flower, (see close up for detail) from Embrace Life (View this photo ), was stamped 3 times with Black Stazon ink on Whisper White cardstock and colored in using Watercolor Wonder Crayons (Bravo Burgundy, Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose) and blender pens. The flowers were cut out and layered on top of each other with dimensionals. I applied just a touch of glitter on each of the stamins using 2-way glue and Dazzling Diamonds glitter. The flower was attached to the card using Dimensionals and the bow was tied onto the previously applied ribbon.
My final card today again begins with a base of So Saffron cardstock, layered with Bravo Burgundy and the small floral print from the Summer Parisian DSP collection. The image, from Flower Fancy (View this photo ) is stamped on a square of Very Vanilla Cardstock. This is a 2-step stamp so on the first stamp, I colored directly on the stamp with Pretty in Pink and Mellow Moss markers. Using the Stamp-a-ma-jig positioner, I stamped the 2nd outline stamp using Bravo Burgundy ink. The sentiment, again from Best Yet (I love this new Hostess set -- View this photo ), is stamped in Bravo Burgundy Ink. The Mellow Moss ribbon and bow are tied at the bottom of the image mat which is then adhered to the card.
