There is a beautiful set of Designer Series Paper - Juntos - that is exclusive to this supplement. When I first saw it, I immediately thought of Autumn colors and leaves and wanted to make some samples using this beautiful new paper.
Click on the thumbnail here to see a larger image of the Juntos papers. The Juntos DSP matches Always Artichoke, Mellow Moss, More Mustard and Really Rust cardstock and colors. It's been unseasonably mild here in Illinois this week and each beautiful evening has reminded me of the fall season soon to come, one of my favorite times of the year. These cards make me think of this colorful season which is just around the corner. I hope you enjoy browsing these fall cards as much as I enjoyed making them!
This first card was created with the new Harvest Home Stamp Set. The image is stamped with Black Stazon ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock and colored in using Watercolor Wonder Crayons and Blender Pens. It is mounted to a layer of Really Rust Cardstock and Natural Hemp Twine is tied around the top. It is then mounted, using dimensionals, to three more layers -- Juntos DSP, Mellow Moss and Always Artichoke. The Sentiment is stamped with Black Stazon ink and piercing was done using the Crafters Tool Kit.
Did I mention how much I love the fall season? I call this card "Dancing Leaves" -- just looking at it helps me imagine the cool, crisp air and the way the leaves blow around in the wind. This card begins with a base of Always Artichoke, a second layer of Really Rust and a third layer of Juntos DSP. The sentiment, from Holidays and Wishes, is stamped with Black Stazon ink. The leaves are cut using the Sizzix Big Shot (remember, it's coming September 2nd) and dies. Using the Anywhere Glue Stick, adhere the DSP to chipboard (I save mine from packing materials) and run it through the Big Shot to make quick and custom Chipboard elements. I attached a length of Natural Hemp Twine to the back of one of the leaves and then just "wove" it through the leaves, attaching each one with Dimensionals. I wound the two ends of the twine around a pencil to curl them. I think the wraped twine helps give the illusion that the leaves are dancing in the air. Well, that's it for today but remember to check back tomorrow for another featured collection from Stampin' Ups! great Designer Series Paper line. And remember as well there are just two days remaining to take advantage of the Designer Series Sampler Kits that are offered here on my website. And most importantly, Happy Stamping! Blessings, Gretchen One more card this morning for your inspiration! This again begins with a base of Always Artichoke, a second layer of Really Rust and a third layer of Juntos DSP. Punch out the corners with the Ticket Corner Punch. Stamp the Sentiment with the "With Gratitude" stamp from the set of the same name. Stamp the pumpkin and gourd images, from Autumn Harvest, directly on the DSP and then stamp them again on a scrap of Whisper White Cardstock. Color in using Watercolor Wonder Crayons and Blender Pens and cut out. Attach a length of Always Artichoke ribbon across the DSP layer. Attach the cut-out images over the ribbon and first stamped images with dimensionals. This way the stamped shadows show underneath the raised cut-outs. Tie on a ribbon bow and you are done!
