Hello everyone! Now tell me, how can it be Friday night already? How can seven days and night have possibly passed since the last Stamping 411 Saturday Sketch Challenge was issued? It's unbelievable how quickly time flies these days!
Here's a little project that's been keeping me busy lately! I used this week's Stamping 411 Sketch to make 28 card for my daughter's school. Next week is ISAT week -- Illinois Standardized Achievement Testing. A tradition at my daughter's school is to have parents send cards and notes of encouragement for their kids. The notes are passed out on the first day of testing.
Of course, there are always some parents who, for whatever reasons, don't send cards for their children. The Social Worker at our school always has a supply on-hand to make sure that every child receives a card and a personal note. So, when I saw this week's Sketch I knew it would be perfect to create these cards using the Take A Spin Stamp Set that I could donate to the school.
They really went together pretty quickly! I wanted to make them bright and cheerful so I used some of my favorites from the Bright's Collection -- Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight. The Designer Series Paper is from the Brights Paper Stack. Other supplies include the Big Shot, the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder, the Scallop Circle #2 Die, 3" Circle Die, 5/8" Satin Ribbon, the 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals and the Game Spinner Hands from the Occasions Mini Catalog. As you can see, the spinner is set on the message "YOU CAN DO IT"!
Here's the Measurements for this card ...
- Layer One -- Pumpkin Pie Cardstock cut at 5.25 x 10.5", scored and folded in half.
- Layer Two -- Real Red Cardstock cut at 5" square
- Layer Three -- DSP cut at 2.5 x 5"
- Layer Four -- Pacific Point Cardstock cut at 4" square
- Layer Five -- Daffodil Delight Cardstock cut at 3.75" square -- emboss with the Big Shot and and Impressions Folder.
- Layer Six -- Scallop Circle Die Cut in Real Red
- Layer Seven -- 3" Circle Die Cut in Pumpkin Pie
- Layer Eight -- 2.5" Circle Punchie in Whisper White
Whew ... that's a LOT of layers! I did these cards in an assembly-line fashion and worked on them over a few days so they really did go together quickly and easily. Go ahead ... take a spin at making this card yourself. "YOU CAN DO IT"!
