Welcome to my blog, Inspiration in Action! I've been making plans for this blog for quite some time and am so glad to finally offer this to my customers, family and friends. I want to thank Heather Wright-Porto for her assistance in getting this blog up and running. Heather has a new blog-planning service and let me tell you, she has been so helpful and encouraging. You can e-mail her to find out more by clicking on her name above. Thank you, Heather!
It is no accident that the launch of my new blog coincides with my first anniversary as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and the unveiling of the brand new Fall/Winter Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog! You will be able to view the catalog on line tomorrow, August 11th and let me tell you, you are in for a treat! Stampin' Up! has outdone themselves with wonderful new stamp sets, absolutely gorgeous new Designer Papers and Simply Scrappin' kits, new punches and ribbons and embellishments and so much more! What's even more exciting is that there are so many specials that will be offered throughout the fall and even more new products to be revealed in the coming weeks and months. Whether you are a card maker, scrapbooker or paper crafter, you will not be disappointed in what Stampin' Up! has to offer you. I am here to inspire you and help your creativity soar through this art form that we love and share. Let me know if I can answer questions, help you with a problem, or assist you with an order.
Speaking of inspiration, here's a bit for you on this beautiful morning! This card is a combination of new and old! It uses two of the beautiful new In Colors -- Baja Breeze and Pacific Point. The greeting is from one of the new Stampin' Up! sets, Heard from the Heart. This card also uses one of my very favorite older sets, Baroque Motifs! The swirl is made using a technique called "Rock N' Roll". You ink your stamp with the lighter color first and then "roll" the edges of the stamp in a darker color ink for this lovely variegated effect. The medallion was stamped with the same technique, mounted on a scallop circle punchie and embellished with a half back pearl from the Pretties Kit. Are you inspired yet? I hope so because there is so much more to come! Thank you for beginning and sharing this journey with me! Blessings, Gretchen
