I don't know why it took me so long to open up this package of DSP and get creative (maybe it's because I had so many beautiful papers to choose from - LOL)! I love the soft color combination of Old Olive, Certainly Celery and Baja Breeze. The colors and patterns are so restful and tranquil and lend themselves to a wide variety of occasions and themes. Click on the thumbnail to see a larger image of each of the 12 designs.
This first card begins with a base of Old Olive and is layered with Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze and one of the floral prints from the collection. I also added a mat of Certainly Celery on the inside of the card and scalloped both sides with the Scallop Edge Punch adding dots to each scallop with the Signo White Gel Pen. I tied a length of 5/8" Certainly Celery Grosgrain ribbon across the outside mats and tied on some frayed ribbon and embellished with Felt Fusion Flowers and a Rhinestone Brad. The sentiment, from Full of Life, is stamped with Black Stazon on White Cardstock and layered on Old Olive.
This next card begins with a base of Certainly Celery and a layer of Baja Breeze cardstock. The beautiful floral image from Embrace Life was stamped 3 times on Whisper White cardstock with Black Stazon ink and colored in using Baja Breeze reinker and a blender pen. I cut the flowers out using a full flower for the base and just individual petals for the top two layers. I fastened them together with Dimensionals and added just a touch of Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the tips of the stamens. I mounted the dimensional flower to one of the DSP prints and then on another layer of Certainly Celery. I tied White Stain Ribbon around the mats, tied a bow, and attached it to the card base using SNAIL adhesive. The sentiment from Best Yet is stamped in Black Stazon ink on Certainly Celery cardstock and punched out with our new Wide Oval Punch. I added a layer of White cardstock to the inside of the card and stamped the flower multiple times with Baja Breeze and Certainly Celery ink I just love adding something to the inside the cards. I think it's adds just that extra little touch. Tell me what you think?
One last card for you today! This one begins with a card base of Old Olive layered with another floral print from the Green Tea DSP collection. I cut out the Baja Breeze layer using the Big Shot and the Top Note Bigz Die (a Stampin' Up! Exclusive) and sponged around the edges with Old Olive ink. I cut out the slot for the 1" Double-Stitched Baja Breeze Ribbon with the Horizontal Slot Punch (I made a total of 3 punches, lining them up so they make one long slot). The ribbon is attached to the underside of the DSP layer using SNAIL adhesive. The flower and leaves are from Flower Fancy. I stamped them on a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock with Baja Breeze, Pacific Point, Certainly Celery and Old Olive inks and then cut them out and attached them with SNAIL adhesive and dimensionals. I added two Felt Fusion Flowers and a Rhinestone brad. The sentiment, from Elegant Cheer, is stamped with Black Stazon Ink. On the inside mat of Very Vanilla cardstock, I added the smaller flower and leaves images in the lower corner.
I'm still taking orders for the Designer Series Paper and Ribbon Sampler Kits. This is a great way to get a little bit of everything without having to buy complete packages of paper or spools of ribbon. Deadline for ordering the Sampler Kits is Thursday, September 4th at 11:59 p.m. (central time). Click on the links above for more information.
Well, I've got to go for today. I hope that everyone is enjoying their Labor Day Holiday and I invite you to join with me in prayer for everyone in the path of Hurricane Gustav. When I checked the news a bit ago, it had been downgraded to a Level 2 storm so let's pray that it won't be as bad as first predicted.
Blessings, Gretchen

I just love all of your work. The Green Tea is my favorite, but I love them all. You know how to use them with the right set.
I would love to use your ideas at my stamp classes. I certainly will give you the credit, and let others know where I found it.
Hope you don't mind. I look forward to seeing your work everyday.
Thank you for sharing.

I really appreciate seeing all the designer paper displays on your site! It's so hard to get a good sense of the design in the catalog to know what sets they coordinate with.
Glad I found your site this past week!
