I've got to say that I am loving this unlikely color combination of Riding Hood Red, Tangerine Tango, Pretty in Pink and Tempting Turquoise.
This color challenge comes from the Late Night Stampers Group and was inspired by these kitchen towels! Who would have thought!
Today's card begins with a base of Pretty in Pink and a second layer of Tangerine Tango. I stamped one of the Itty Bitty Background stamps over the top with Riding Hood Red Ink. The stamp set is Echoes of Kindness, a soon-to-be released Level 2 Hostess set (it has three georgous flower images, all perfect for watercoloring techniques!). I stamped the sentiment in Black Stazon and mounted it on Riding Hood Red, tore the bottom edges for texture and tied with a Tempting Turquoise 1/4" Grosgrain ribbon. The flower is colored in with Blender Pens and Ink Pads and mounted on Tempting Turquoise. Using a Craft Knife, I cut out just the top portion of the leaf so it could fall over the adjoining sentiment layer! Fun!
Less than a week remains to order retiring stamp sets and accessories and the BIG catalog launch will be next Monday, January 19th! Stop by again soon for more inspiration and sneak peeks at the wonderful new things to come!
Blessings, Gretchen
