Look what I just learned to do! Dimensional paper flowers. You would spend BIG $$$ for these if you purchased them already made but did you know you can easily and quickly make your own? This little daffodil (at least that's what I think it looks like) started out as two 5-Petal punchies -- one in YoYo Yellow and the
other in So Saffron. I spritzed them with rubbing alcohol (you can also use water but it will take longer to dry and I'm oh, so impatient!), rubbed and smushed them into a tiny ball and then carefully unfolded them. I used a stylus to poke in the center and just kind of formed them with your fingers around the stylus to give some dimension and then let them dry (if you're really impatient (yes, that' s me) you can hit them with your heat gun to speed up
the drying process even more). Once dry, I used a Sponge Daubber and a little Pumpkin Pie ink to just brush the edges with color, put them together and attached a Rhinestone Brad in the center (click on the photos to see a larger image). I stamped the images from the Echoes of Kindness set(Level 2 Hostess set -- ask me how you can earn this for FREE) using Black Stazon Ink and colored in the leaves with Kiwi Kiss ink and a Blender Pen. The polka dot Designer Series Paper is from Rockabilly Specialty DSP. I used the Eyelet Border Punch on a 1" strip of YoYo Yellow cardstock and tied on a length of Whisper White Organza Ribbon, tying on a Faux Bow. Isn't this a great card for spring? Perfect as well for this week's Late Night Stampers challenge - Flowers, Flowers, Flowers!
