Hello everyone and Happy Thursday morning! You KNOW how much I LOVE sketches. I've said it so many times, that when I need inspiration, when I need ideas, when I need motivation to stamp, I turn to sketches everything. They stir my creativity and help me to find a place to begin a project! So I guess it was destined to be -- my own Inspiration in Action Weekend Sketch Challenge. Each Thursday, I will post a new sketch, and sample project, on my blog, giving you the entire weekend to complete your projects and link them back to me, using the Mr. Linky widget you'll find at the bottom of each post. I can't wait to see your creations and to hear your comments as we share sketches and creativity together each week.
Here's my inspiration sample for you for this week's Sketch. I used the beautiful Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper and a color theme of Rich Razzleberry, Orchid Opulence, Certainly Celery and Whisper White. You'll find a complete list of products below.
Here's the layer sizes that I used but please feel free to change them around. That's the joy of using a sketch, you can alter it and adapt it to fit your personal preferences. Oh, this is going to be so much fun!
- Layer One -- Rich Razzleberry cut at 5.25 x 10.5, scored and folded in half to form Card Base
- Layer Two -- Orchid Opulence 5" square
- Layer Three -- Cottage Wall DSP 4.75" Square
- Layer Four -- Orchid Opulence cut at 2.5 x 5", punched with the Eyelet Border Punch
- Layer Five -- Whisper White cut at 1.25 x 5"
- Layer Six -- 5" Circle of Certainly Celery cut with the Circle Scissor Plus
- Layer Seven -- 4.75" Circle of Whisper White cut with the Circle Scissor Plus
Tip for the Day! When attaching brads, use the Paper Piercing Tool and the Mat Pack Template and Sponge Mat to help you align them perfectly. I lined the large holes up with the edge of the card, pierced a tiny hole in the center of each circle in the template and ended up with perfectly placed brads!
- 115671, Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper
- 113824, Greenhouse Garden Stamp Set
- 115068, Sincere Salutations Stamp Set
- 113692, Eyelet Border Punch
- 115613, 5/8" Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Ribbon
- 112530, Circle Scissor Plus
