Oh my Goodness! I've been hearing all the buzz about these little pop-up trees so decided to pull mine out and use it for the first time! These are AMAZING!!!! This is the newest Stampin' Up! Bigz SL die, called "O Christmas Tree". I decided to do my tree all in Whisper White, embossed with the Petals-A-Plenty Impressions Folder and dusted with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. A tiny red heart brings just a touch of color to the tree. I also mounted it on a bright Real Red Medallion stamped-image. Doesn't that just look like a lovely tree skirt?
The tree is a little tricky to put together the first time but once you've done one, the next ones will go much easier. The way the pieces all fit together is an engineering wonder!
Here's the front of the card (click to view a larger image). I used Real Red and Whisper White Cardstock, 5/8" Satin Ribbon, and snowflakes from Snow Swirled, stamped with Versamark and embossed with Iridescent Ice Embossing powder. The sentiment is from Heard from the Heart.
When the entire card is opened, it looks like this! It wouldn't lie flat because of the bow on the front cover. The inside sentiment is from Many Merry messages.
When you fold the card closed, the tree branches just slide together so nicely and the card is flat. What a surprise for someone to open this up and find such a beauty inside. I will definitely be making more of this tiny treasures!
And by the way, you can purchase this die for just $10 when you host a workshop, have a catalog party, or place an order directly through me of at least $250. That's right -- choose ANYTHING (except Simply Adorned Charms and My Digital Studio) from the Holiday Mini catalog for just $10 with an order of that level. What a deal! Contact me today for your copy of the Holiday Mini or to book a workshop or place an order. This tree could be in your craft room soon!
