Good morning, everyone! First off, an announcement that Takin' It to the Top Tuesday will resume after the new year! So, for today, I have some last-minute ideas for you. When you have a gift for someone special and you want to wrap it in a way that will really make it special as well, here's a great (and fast) little idea that was inspired by my Stamping 411 buddy, Tiffany Bauer. Isn't this snowflake bow just gorgeous? I added it to the top of a Stampin' Up! Treat Box (these are a great value at 5 for $3.95, #115690) but you could put it on a regular gift bag or sack. A topper this special will dress up any box or bag. It's easy and quick to make as well! I cut Snowflake #2 using the Big Shot and Very Vanilla Cardstock. Using a Sponge Daubber, I applied
some Close to Cocoa ink on the edges of the snowflake (imagine how beautiful this would be in a rainbow of colors). Then, using a 2-way Glue pen and Crystal Iris Chunky Glitter, I applied a little bling to the snowflake. The bow is tied using a generous length of Chocolate Chip 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon. I layered the bow, the snowflake and a Chocolate Chip Corduroy Button and Tied the entire thing up with some Natural Hemp Twine! Simple, simple and Oh, so pretty! I attached it to the box using a Pop-Up Glue Dot so that the Snowflake Bow can easily be saved by the lucky recipient.
And here's a quick little gift idea that I got from Patty Bennett! Chocolate makes a perfect gift for anyone, right? These little clear gift boxes are made using the Fancy Favor Die and the Big Shot. I cut them using the Snowfall Printed Window Sheets (soon to expire on January 4th with the Holiday Mini Catalog). I then ran them through the Big Shot again using the Impression Folders -- Petals-a-Plenty and Finial Press, for a little extra texture and interest. A strip of Holiday Lounge Designer Series Paper and 5/8" Whisper White Satin Ribbon adorns one box and a simple ribbon and bow with Old Olive 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon adorns the other. Add some brightly packaged (and delicious) chocolates, and you have a gift that anyone will love!
That's it for today! I hope you'll come back again tomorrow for another daily dose of Inspiration in Action!
Your treat boxes are just gorgeous! I especially love the snowflake ribbon box. I have one more treat box to make and this will be perfect. Thanks for sharing.
