Good morning, everyone! I've got another Convention SWAP to show you today. I apologize for the photo quality. Taking photos in a hotel room just doesn't lend itself to quality control!
Do you remember those darling little birdie cards that I showed you a couple of weeks ago? Well, I made about 90 of those for convention SWAPS and because of the way the Sunny Garden DSP was cut, I was left with A LOT of 1.5" strips of DSP. What do you do? Use them, of course!
I designed this card specifically so that I could use up several of those strips of DSP. I made about 30 of these so it whittled down my stack considerably. I used Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzaz and Peach Parfait cardstocks -- all yummy new colors!
The ribbon is Certainly Celery 3/8" Taffeta. The sentiment is from the fabulous new stamp set, Word Play. And I used the Big Shot and the Elegant Bouquet Impressions Folder for the lovely embossing on the side.
If you're loving all this new DSP as much as I am, but don't want to invest a fortune in purchasing all the new packs of paper, you might want to try one of my samplers. New Sampler's are now available for Designer Series Paper, Simply Scrappin' Kits, Ribbons and Embellishments. Click HERE for all the details and to place an order! It's a great way to get it all ... only in smaller quantities! My DSP samplers give you a BIG 6x12" sample of each of the new papers so you get plenty to do either cards or scrapbook layouts! The sampler's are a great way to get all the beautiful, new products without purchasing the entire packages of paper and ribbons.
That's it for now! We're still traveling but will be home soon and I got so many ideas to share with you. Come back soon please for more Inspiration in Action!
I love the color combination. What a great way to use up scraps.
