Good morning, everyone! I hope this new year is going well for you so far. I've got a great card (well, at least I think so) to share with you today!
The Utah Divas International host a color challenge each week and here's our inspiration for this week ... this beautiful shirt and the colors Marina Mist, Pear Pizzazz, Chocolate chip and Very Vanilla. Aren't they dreamy together? They are so cool and restful and lovely.
Well, are you ready to see what I created with these colors?
Here you go ...
I used the Just Believe stamp set (I so love this set and it is so versatile). I embossed the floral image on Very Vanilla cardstock using Versamark Ink and Clear Embossing Powder (and the Heat Tool, of course), and then brayered on the two background colors -- the blue on the top and the green on the bottom.
Now, before I go any further, I've got a confession to make. Do you see the mistake in this card? In my haste to get this done, I looked at the inspiration photo and didn't really read the colors that we were supposed to use (and I should have known better because I selected the inspiration photo and designed the Color Challenge box). Well, anyway, I grabbed Pacific Point instead of Marina Mist -- MY BAD! I apologize to the other Design Team members that I didn't even follow my own rules! By the time I discovered my mistake, the card was done and I so liked it that I wanted to share it with you anyway.
Other things to note on this card -- I stamped just the tip of the floral stamp in Pear Pizzazz ink all the way around the outside of the Pear Pizzazz layer and then embossed it with the Big Shot and the Elegant Bouquet Impression Folder -- it's a subtle but nice touch. I punched out one edge of the Pacific Point layer with the Scallop Trim
Border Punch, added some Pear Pizzazz ribbon and the tag created with the new Extra Large Decorative Label Punch and there you have it! Oh yes, I also stamped a little on the inside of the card as well.
I think that will do it for today. If I can, I'll create another Challenge Card this week using the actual colors of the challenge -- LOL.
I invite you to play along with our challenge. Just go to Utah Divas International to check out the other great cards that the Design Team have created and to link your challenge cards so we can all enjoy them! Thanks for visiting today -- I hope you'll come back soon!

Outstanding color combination, I wouldn't change it. How did you make two layers with the Decorative Label Punch,... we only have one Label Extra large Punch. Just curious.....
