Good morning, everyone! I am just loving the new Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Mini Catalog. It's so delicate and charming -- perfect for a Vintage-style Valentine!
And that's exactly what I created in this recent SWAP card. The colors are a bit non-traditional for a Valentine but I think they work beautifully together.
I used the Big Shot and the Elegant Bouquet Impressions Folder to create the embossing on the background layer. The stamp is one of the new Individual stamps from the Mini Catalog called Be My Valentine. I stamped it once with Versamark ink on Rose Red Cardstock and embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder and the Heat Tool and then cut out the image. I then stamped the image again with Rose Red Ink on Ivory Naturals Cardstock and cut out just the banner. I attached the banner over the embossed heart and attached them both to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals! Other supplies used include the Top Note Die and Self-adhesive Basic Pearls. Amazing! A Card that I created without using any ribbon -- that doesn't happy often!
Speaking of Valentine's, I know some of you are waiting to hear about the Valentine Challenge for From Our Hearts that I hosted in December. I have the final numbers from Marti and will be announcing the final tally of cards sent, as well as my Blog Candy Winner, this coming Monday, January 17th. Check back then for all the exciting news!
I need to go for now! Thanks so much for stopping by today. I do hope you'll come back again soon for more Ideas and Inspiration!
