Hello and Happy Tuesday, everyone! Tuesday around here means a new Color Challenge from Utah Diva's International and look what we have for you today -- Concord Crush, Perfect Plumb, Old Olive and Very Vanilla -- some of my favorite colors all together.
These colors just shout spring and flowers to me and what a welcome thought that is as the temperature is cold today and we have 5" of new fallen snow, with more coming down! It's beautiful outside but a reminder that spring is coming is certainly welcome!
We'll, here's what I created with today's colors (and I had so much fun doing so)! I just love making these little vases from punches and the addition of the new Self-Adhesive Pearls really dresses this fun and quick technique up.
I used the Just Believe stamp set, the Wide Oval Punch (cut in half and then cut off the bottom flat), Basic Self-Adhesive Pearls (there are 3 long lines of pearls in each package that are connected together, making this a very easy process), 5/8" Satin Ribbon in Old Olive and the Big Shot and the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder. I used Stampin' Write Markers to apply the ink directly to the rubber.
Don't forget to make the card even more special by stamping a little something on the inside as well! All in all, this is a pretty quick and easy card but oh, so pretty, don't you think?
Please take a few moments to check out the rest of the Design Team Projects on Utah Diva's International. The Design Team always does such nice work!
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope I inspired you a bit and hope you'll have a chance to use these colors in your stamping this week. If you do, make sure and visit the UDI blog and leave a link so we can all see your creation!
Wow, that is absolutely gorgeous! That set is so on my wish list. I love how you used the ornament punch as a vase with it.

Pretty spring colors - maybe that will make the snow go away! Luv how you used the ornament punch for the vase - very clever!

The colors in this card remind me so much of lilacs in the spring and that is welcome thought after days of cold weather. I love how you used the ornament punch and the pearls. Great idea!
