Hello everyone! Look at this darling set of fresh and clean cards that I created recently using the fabulous Emboss-Resist technique!
Each card uses the Thoughts & Prayers and Sincere Salutations Stamp Sets along with Versamark Ink and Clear Embossing Powder for a simple, yet elegant, Thinking of You card.
The colors are Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Daffodil Delight and Marina Mist -- a perfect combination for spring. The Whisper White layer (cut at 4 x 5.25") is punched on the bottom with the Scallop Trim Border Punch, tied off with a bit of coordinating 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon and then attached to the Card Base. Sponges are used to sponge a little coordinating color over the stamped floral image.
This project couldn't be simpler or faster but what a great set this would make, tied up with some coordinating ribbons and envelopes! Perfect for a hostess gift, thank-you, teacher or even a gift for Easter! It's fresh, crisp and clean for spring!
Don't forget -- I'm having a GREAT SNAIL SALE right now through March 15th. You can see all the details on the original post HERE. I wanted to let you know that I CASEd this idea and made a card for a dear friend who has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. Of course, I made the pink variation! A group of 15 friends was together yesterday, and we all signed the card. When the recipient saw it, she knew right away that I'd made the card, and squeezed my hand. But when she saw that we had all signed it, she was so moved that she quickly slipped the card back in the envelope and promised to read each mini-message when she got home. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful, yet simple design. You've named your blog well, because it's full of inspiration.
