Hello everyone and welcome to a new Saturday Sketch Challenge from the Stamping 411 Operators! For this week's fabulouso sketch, I decided to dust off a classic stamp set that hasn't seen the light of day in quite some time -- Dreams du Jour!
I paired it with one of my favorite Designer Series Paper Collections -- the Sweet & Sour Specialty DSP! From floral to whimsical polka-dots, these papers in combinations of Rose Red and Pumpkin Pie are so beautiful!
Other supplies used on this card include: 5/8" Satin Ribbon in Pumpkin Pie, Self Adhesive Basic Rhinestones, Stampin' Dimensionals, Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen, the Big Shot and Scallop Circle #2 Die and the 1 3/4" and 2 1/2" Circle Punches!
- Layer One -- Pumpkin Pie Cardstock cut at 5.5 x 8.5", scored and folded to form the Card Base
- Layer Two -- Rose Red Cardstock cut at 4 x 5.25"
- Layer Three -- DSP cut at 3.75 x 5" -- stretch ribbon across layers 2 & 3. Attach die cut and punched circles and add a bow and embellishments!
How's that for simple!
If you've not yet done so, be sure and check out the projects created by the other Stamping 411 Operators! And when you're ready to play along with this challenge, you'll find a place on that post to leave a link to your beautiful artwork! We can't wait!
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I do hope you'll come back soon!
Sweet and Sour, indeed! Or a bowl of sherbet, too! LOVE the sweet little butterfly tucked inside. Are you coming to Convention, Gretchen, and are you going to be Demo or teaching a class? I would love to shake your hand and just acknowledge in person the difference you have made in my Demonstratorship those first two terrifying years.

Awesome Gretchen. I like the effect of the ribbon and the butterfly. They really pick up on the colours of the DSP.

Wow - This is the best I've ever seen this stamp set look! Love your colour choice, even though orange isn't my thing.
Cheers
