Hello Everyone and Happy December to you! I find it difficult to believe that we are well into December already and another year has almost slipped away from us! Time certainly does fly, doesn't it? One way that we mark time around here is by the Saturday Sketch Challenge on Stamping 411! And yes, it's that time again! Just look at this week's sketch -- it looks like a bright, Christmas package just waiting to be opened!
Somehow, it escaped me until just this past week that the Triple Treat Flower could be used with more than one flower punch. In this case, I used the 5 Petal Flower Punch and the Fancy Flower Punch. How fun and festive for Christmas in Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler. I finished it off with a red flower button and a large Basic Pearl. The card base is Garden Green and the embossed layer is Cherry Cobbler, embossed with the Big Shot and the Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I sponged the edges with Cherry Cobbler ink to give it a little more depth and definition. The ribbon is Cherry Cobbler Quilted Ribbon from the Holiday Mini Catalog and the Designer Series Paper is the polka Dot pattern in Certainly Celery from the Subtles Collection Paper Stack. There is an additional layer of Garden Green underneath the DSP layer. The sentiment is from Four the Holidays.
Here's my measurements, in case you want to CASE this card:
- Layer One -- Garden Green Cardbase cut at 5.5 x 8.5", scored and folded in the middle
- Layer Two -- Cherry Cobbler cut at 4 x 5.25" -- embossed and sponged
- Layer Three -- Garden Green cut at 3 1/8 x 4 3/8"
- Layer Four -- DSP cut at 3 x 4.25" -- add ribbon, sentiment stamp and embellishments.
- Inside of Card -- Whisper White cut at 4 x 5.25" - stamp or embellish as desired.
This is a great card to use if you need to make fast multiples and if you don't want your finished card to be too busy! And really, you've got to give that Triple Treat Flower Stamp a try -- too fun!
Speaking of fun, I do hope you'll take a few moments to visit the Stamping 411 Website and see what the other Operators have been up to this week. There's always lots of inspiration waiting for you there!
Thanks for stopping by, everyone! I do hope you'll come back soon!

This is gorgeous, you always have the best ideas. I love that triple treat flower but I haven't used it very much, I will be casing this card thank you very much. The light against the dark is striking. I can't wait to get a chance to make my own interpretation of this sketch. Thanks for the inspiration.
