Hello everyone! Finally, I've had a few minutes to create the tutorial for this Quick and Easy 7x7 Gift Bag!
Many of you have written to ask me for the directions so here you go! ENJOY!!!!!
You can download and print a PDF Tutorial by clicking HERE!
Select 2 pieces of matching 12x12 double-sided Designer Series Paper.
Score at 2.5” on all four sides of both sheets of paper.
Fold on score lines with one side folding to the opposite side (this will form the top of your bag with the contrasting pattern showing) |
|||
Apply two strips of Sticky Strip on the bottom fold of ONE of the sheets of DSP.
Peel off backing and carefully align the two pieces of DSP, matching the edge of one to the fold of the other. Burnish with a Bone Folder or your thumb to set the adhesive. |
|||
This is a little tricky but one you work with it you will understand it.
Make a diagonal fold on each of the four corners of the bottom of the bag, to form the sides which will be mitered.
Here’s two views to help you understand the fold. |
|||
Once you have the diagonal fold done, apply two strips of Sticky Strip on one of the side pieces, making sure the top fold is folded down so that the contrasting DSP shows.
Peel off Backing of the Sticky strip and adhere as above and as shown in photo. |
|||
Repeat process with the 2nd side of the bag. Add a ribbon handle and embellish as desired
