Hello everyone and Happy Friday to you! Sympathy cards are always something nice to have made up ahead so that you can send a timely note when needed. Here's a simple, but beautiful, sympathy card using the Simply Sketchd and Happy Watercolor Stamp sets. The soft pastels of Crisp Cantaloupe, Soft Sky and Pistachio Pudding lend themselves nicely to the beautiful watercolor background stamp in Happy Watercolor. I stamped the sentiment and the bird with Midnight Muse Ink. The envelope is lined with the lovely Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper (your's for FREE with any $50 order during Sale-A-Bration).
Measurements for this card are:
- Layer One -- Card Base cut at 5.5 x 8.5 from Crisp Cantaloupe Cardstock
- Layer Two -- Soft Sky cut at 4 x 5.25 and then embossed with the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder
- Layer Three -- Whisper White cut at 3 1/8 x 4 3/8"
So there you have it -- a quick and easy but oh so beautiful Sympathy card ready to bring a message of hope and compassion to someone who needs it!
I hope you remember there's a BLOG CANDY offer on the table until tomorrow at noon! You can read the details on yesterday's blog post HERE!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you come back soon for more ideas and inspiration!!!
This is a lovely card! You know, when I started stamping 15 years ago, I vowed I would NOT make sympathy cards. ( What I was seeing didn't seem appropriate.) Eventually, my own cards improved to the point that they became my favorite cards to make. Yours is beautiful with the pastel colours you've chosen and the embossed layer...
