Introducing the Baby Bubbles!

Hello everyone! I've just finished my latest Kit-on-the-Go and Tutorial and I think you will LOVE them -- let me introduce you to Baby Bubbles -- flower, owl, monster, ladybug and bat!

What are Baby Bubbles? Well, first of all, they are ADORABLE little "photo frames" where you insert your baby's face into the punched-out circle in the head. They can be used on cards, in scrapbook pages, on invitations, as ornaments, framed art, room decor, treat boxes, gift tags and so much more! Think how stinkin' cute they could be used as Baby Shower decorations or as a gift for a new mom or grandma or as embellishments on a chain or pennants? Of course, you can use them for Halloween but they're also adaptable to be used all year long for many different occasions. The possibilities are only limited by our imaginations!

 

Each Baby Bubble Kit sells for $19.95 and you'll get everything you need to make one of each of the adorable characters, including a detailed tutorial explaining every step toward completion (tutorials are e-mailed to you as a PDF file). If you purchase the kit, you will need the folowing supplies to complete all five characters: Snail adhesive, Paper Snips, Stampin' Dimensionals!, Glue Dots, White Gel Pen, Black Stampin' Write Marker, 1/4" Hole Punch, sponges, Various Ink Colors (brown, orange, green, blue and pink) and a 1 3/4" Circle Punch (for punching out your baby photos).

 

 

 

If you purchase the $5.00 Tutorial only, in addition to the above, you will also need the following to punch, cut and assemble the characters: Big Shot, Floral Frames Framelits, Oval Framelits, Flower Fair Framelits, Butterfly Die (retired), feathers (non-SU), and Various Ribbons for trim. Punches Required include: Bitty Butterfly, Itty Bitty Accents Pack, Small Oval, Wide Oval, Skinny Small Oval (retired), and Circle Punches in 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1 3/8", 1 3/4".

 

Tutorials may be e-mailed anywhere in the world. Kits can be shipped internationally but they will require additional postage (usually between $12-15 extra) and can be quite prohibitive. Ahhhh! Sweet Baby!

When I first saw the adorable new Baby Stamp set called Baby Prints in the Occasions Mini Catalog, I knew that I had to have it. It has such adorable little hand and footprints -- how cute! It's hard to believe that my little baby girl turned 12 years old just a week before Christmas! Where does the time go? These adorable images are perfect for scrapbook pages, baby cards, baby announcements, shower invitations ... anything baby!

 

And I thought this was the perfect set to use for this week's Stamping 411 Saturday Sketch Challenge!

 

Here's all the supplies I used for this card: Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White Cardstocks, Nursery Nest Designer Series Paper, Designer Button, Calypso Coral Baker's Twine, 3/8" Satin Pleated Ribbon in Pink Pirouette, 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Eyelet Border Punch, Pretty in Pink Classic Ink and Stampin' Dimensionals.

 

Here's my measurements for this card:

1. Layer One -- Pear Pizzazz Cardstock cut at 5.5 x 8.5", scored and folded to make the Card Base
2. Layer Two -- DSP cut at 1.5 x 4" (on the bottom)
3. Layer Three -- Whisper White cut at 1 x 4" -- punch bottom edge with Border Punch
4. Layer Four -- DSP (coordinating pattern) cut at 4" square (on the top)
5. Layer Five -- Pear Pizzazz Cardstock cut at 2.75" Square
6. Layer Six -- Whisper White Cardstock cut at 2 5/8" Square
7. Inside of Card -- Whisper White Cardstock cut at 4 x 5.25" - stamp as desired (I stamped part of the footprint image in the bottom corner)

Welcome Baby and a New Sketch from Stamping 411

Hello everyone! Stamping 411 has a new Saturday Sketch for you this week!

 

These little squares are so easy to do when you use Stampin' Up! Punches! I used the 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" Square punches for my "Welcome Baby" card this week. It makes quick work and a cute project! Especially nice for a baby card, I think, as it lets you bring in all the soft images and colors!

 

As you can see, I took some liberties with the sketch by turning it on it's side and adding a bit of trim and ribbon!

 

The stamp sets are Fox & Friends and the Level 2 Hostess Set from the Occasions Mini Catalog, Something to Celebrate. I stamped the images wth Versamark Ink and then sponged the color over them. A little Emboss-resist is the perfect soft technique for a Baby Card!

 

The colors are Daffodil Delight, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Marina Mist and Whisper White. The ribbon is 3/8" Whisper White Taffeta.

 

Here's This week's Measurements:

1. Layer One -- Daffodil Delight cut at 5.5 x8.5", scored and folded to form the Card Base
2. Layer Two -- Certainly Celery -- cut at 3.5 x 5.25"
3. Layer Three -- Whisper White cut at .5 x 5.25" -- use the Scallop Trim Border Punch (or another Border Punch) to trim and attach to the back of Layer 2. Run ribbon across and attach to the back of layer.
4. Punched Elements -- punch out the two different sizes of cardstock and attach to each other -- mount on the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Well, that was quick and easy, wasn't it!

Sweet Baby Onesies!

Good morning, everyone!

Isn't this a sweet baby card? I created it using the new Baby Tees Jumbo Stampin' Around Wheel. Yes, you heard me right, this is one of the new wheels that will be available beginning July 1st in the New Idea Book & Catalog. Darling, isn't it?

I've used some new colors on this card as well -- Daffodil Delight and Marina Mist, along with Bashful Blue and Whisper White.

I rolled the image onto Whisper white, using Marina Mist Ink, for the first layer and then rolled again onto the colored cardstock, cutting out the onesie images and paper piecing them back onto the main image.

The sentiment is from Curvy Verses. I used the Scallop Trim Border Punch along with the Large and Scallop Oval Punches. The ribbon is 1/8" Taffeta, also new with the new catalog next week. I also added some dry embossing to the background with the Big Shot and the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder.

And look what I did on the inside of the card! It's as cute as the outside. The sentiment is from Well Scripted (retired, sorry) and I punched some small stars (this punch is about to retire as well) out of cardstock.
